Important slushy points to take note:
This is a concentrated mixture designed specifically for slushy machines. For optimal results, dilute 5 liters of syrup with 20 liters of water, making a total of 25 liters. Using regular fruit juice or other drinks won’t work as the sugar content might not be correct for slushy machines.
How to Adjust Sugar Content:
If the machine isn’t producing slushy ice, the sugar content might be too high. To fix this, add 500ml of water to reduce the sugar concentration. If the machine freezes up, add some more syrup to the mixture.
Adding Alcohol:
Considering adding alcohol to your slushy mix? Remember, alcohol acts as an antifreeze, which can affect the freezing point. A general rule of thumb is to reduce the syrup by the same amount of alcohol you’re adding. So if you add a liter of alcohol, reduce the syrup by a liter to maintain the right consistency.
